Sync Timing
Catalog syncs may take upwards of 1–3 hours depending on the catalog size.
Shopify Catalog Sync
In the Catalog menu item within the XGEN Shopify App, click “Reindex” to sync your catalog.
This kicks off the initial indexing of your products with the XGEN environment. Once completed all of you your products and their relative data will be visible in the XGEN platform under Merchandising > Catalogs.
Important Note
This step will kick off the first indexing, once it is complete the catalog will not sync without a manual request for the time being.
You can push a manual sync job and update the product catalog by clicking Re-Sync in the XGEN platform under Merchandising > Catalogs.
In order to set up automatic sync jobs based on a desired frequency contact [email protected]. This has to be done before going live to ensure products are up to date, new products are showing and product that you archive are no longer visible.
Verify Catalog in XGen Platform
Once the Catalog Sync/Indexing is complete you should make sure your catalog has been syncronized with the XGEN system, view your catalog in the Catalog Manager.
Suggested checks:
Check the total number of products synced/indexed by clicking on ‘Sync History’
Within the XGEN Catalog search for a new product recently added and make sure it is there
Within the XGEN Catalog search for an archived product and make sure it is not there
